Canford were fortunate enough to be recommended to the West Coast Eagles by a former client. The club were planning a food and beverage facility. This venue was to operate within their brand new training facility at the Lathlain Precinct.
To this end, Canford worked in partnership with Populous Architects to produce a viable, workable food and beverage offer that fit the strict vision of the West Coast Eagles. We played a vital role in the planning, size, orientation and overall conception of the cafe and function room. To fully realise the most beneficial outcome for the Eagles, we proposed to package together the cafe and function room, to offer a more valuable and appealing product to prospective operators and tenants.
From design meetings, to gathering interest from prospective and suitable tenants, and to the successful application and implementation of a liquor licence – we pulled together a list of high quality operators for the Eagles to pick from to become their hospitality partner.
Canford have been fortunate enough to have worked on a few large design layouts – with the revitalised City Beach Precinct being another example. The key with developing sites like this is to make the layout as functional and malleable as possible. We do this to make sure we can appeal to the largest possible range of quality tenants.
Not every tenant that is desired by a client can fit the projects vision. Consequently, it then comes down to the design work and advice that we are able to give. With Lathlain, packaging together the cafe and function room was a simple decision. But, as a result, that simple decision made it a lot easier for the right tenant to make their way in.
