Recently, Canford was engaged by Stellarossa to open up a new venue in Yokine. Stellarossa is an espresso-bar chain stemming from Brisbane with a passion for quality coffee, excellent service, and delicious flavours. Each Stellarossa Café & Drive Thru Café is locally owned and operated, with each venue sourcing their ingredients locally, making each venue’s menu unique. Stellarossa Yokine is the first Stellarossa to hit Western Australian soil.
Canford assisted in the application of a Restaurant Licence for Stellarossa Yokine. A Restaurant Licence allows for the sale and supply of liquor to patrons on the licensed premises for consumption ancillary to a meal.
Some work was put into amending the lease in order for the alfresco area to be included within the licensed area, as otherwise an application for an extended trading permit would have had to be submitted. Using Canford’s knowledge gained from 23 years of experience, we assisted in ensuring the kitchen setup was efficient and fit for use. To tackle the kitchen layout, Canford partnered with Caterlink to develop and plan the design.
The opening of Stellarossa in Yokine was successful and there are more to come, with the next one opening up in Florida Village Shopping Centre in Dawesville and further venues planned in Mirrabooka and North Coogee. With Stellarossa being a fast-growing franchise, we look forward to working with them in the future to assist in the opening of more venues around Western Australia.
Thank you to Peter James for the opportunity to be a part of opening up the first Western Australian Stellarossa.
