Cellarbrations at Lesmurdie
Cellarbrations Lesmurdie has now opened its doors! Located in Sanderson Road Shopping Complex, Cellarbrations has recently opened up to provide packaged takeaway liquor to Lesmurdie residents.
Owners Stephen and Karen are the long-term owners of the local IGA Supermarket located next door to the premises. Providing for their community was a large motivating factor for undertaking this application.
The main focus and point of difference of their store, is the unique and evolving range of Perth Hills & Swan Valley local producers they will be stocking – specifically around wine and cider.
This new liquor store has been opened to replace a previous liquor store within the shopping complex.
Stephen and Karen asked Canford to assist in applying for a Liquor Store Licence. The shopping centre owners were intimately involved in the application and assisted throughout.
The application process required extensive public interest and section 36B(4) submissions due to the type of licence type being applied for. Public interest submissions are based around how the application will not increase harm or ill-health in the community, whereas section 36B(4) submissions are about demonstrating there is a requirement for the packaged liquor service proposed to be offered.
The clients signed on in December of 2021, with the premises opening up just last month.
