Harbour Bar
Harbour Bar, the newest hospitality endeavour by the D’Arcy Hospitality Group, has recently opened up in Hillarys Boat Harbour. It is an exciting new haven nestled between the beach and the boats. Working with long time client Wes D’Arcy, Canford put together the tavern restricted public interest submissions and application. We were also very much involved in obtaining the necessary planning and other approvals from the Dept of Transport, which administers the Harbour.
Wes contacted Canford back in 2023 looking for assistance in acquiring a Tavern Restricted Liquor Licence. Having worked with Wes numerous times in the past, we were happy to be of assistance.
Canford arranged discussions and briefing sessions with the Liquor Enforcement Unit of the WA Police to explain how the proposed tavern would operate. Canford’s very long history of negotiating with police was very helpful in arriving at trading conditions acceptable to the police and which Wes was comfortable with.
Harbour Bar is a community focused venue offering residents of the Hillarys area an opportunity to sit right at the waters edge and at the mouth of the estuary where the harbour and the Indian Ocean meet.
The Harbour Bar now bookends the Hillaries Boat Harbour food & beverage precinct alongside Wes’ other venue – Jarrah. Both venues are very popular and trade very well, get in early for a table.
